#20 Inspiration is Full Circle
It’s an amazing thing to realize you’ve made a difference when you were unaware. In fact, it’s one of the best experiences I can think of. Yesterday, a dear friend and fellow Certified EOS Implementer, Marisa Smith, sent me a video of her daughter, Charlotte singing a song. Her daughter is a talented, vibrant and accomplished singer – just like her mom.
Marisa and I share a passion for helping entrepreneurs and championing women. This passion has clearly engendered itself in her daughter as well. Not only does she sing, she spontaneously writes meaningful music. And yesterday, (on International Woman’s Day) that music was about being Unf♥<kwithable! Marisa and Charlotte have been raving fans and great supporters of Chasing Perfection, encouraging others to join the movement and as a result, supporting me as well.
You’ll see Charlotte’s video below, as it inspired me to the point of making me teary to hear this young leader put words to what being Unf♥<kwithable means to her.
When I wrote the book, I did so to help more people. Yet, when I completed it and signed the galley, I immediately freaked out. All my fear came to the surface and at that point, it was too late to take it back! Charlotte and Marisa are two of the reasons that feeling can’t last. They are the motivation to “feel the fear and do it anyway” for me. If this is the result for her, and there are many others as well, it’s worth every doubt, every fear and any criticism that comes my way.
Thank you Marisa and Charlotte for sending this on International Women’s Day, inspiring me and reminding me how impactful it is to see someone own their talent and power. I am grateful to know you and we’re creating the PG13 version of Unf♥<kwithable swag because of you. The more young women in the world like you, the better. Keep rising, you are the embodiment of what Unf♥<kwithable means.
