In our ever-changing world right now, this is the question I ask most often.
Wherever I’m seeing or hearing changes, I ask myself “what can I do to help?” So much of what’s happening with clients, colleagues, family, friends, our communities and the world feels out of our control and it is.
When you ask what CAN I do, it puts you in a resourceful state of mind, moves you to action and shifts you from being stuck to a creative state.
If there’s nothing you can come up with in the moment, take care of yourself, that’s something you can always do – exercise, rest, go for a walk, call a friend, play a game, write, do a puzzle, read, meditate, or learn something.
When you’re feeling helpless or down amidst all that’s happening, offer help and connect with others. You won’t feel that way anymore.
