Have you ever started a day and it went to hell before you were an hour into it? Me too.
I bet you’ve also had days where you awakened and felt like you could do nothing wrong, within an hour you’d determined it could be one of the best days of your life. Me too.
In either case, you can have an event occur and change your experience in the blink of an eye. How does that happen? It’s our mindset. We must set and reset our minds for amazing things to happen, and gratitude is one of the fastest routes to joy.
Today, it’s your chance to shift your mindset with three simple steps. This is how I begin every day, and it’s working. Give it a shot and let us know your experience below.
Day 4: Begin the day with 15 minutes to set your day up for a win. It’s 3 activities, 5 minutes (or more) each, in silence, no writing or doing, just being:
- Five minutes in silence. Focus on your breathing, being still and focusing on nothing. Let yourself just be, no thoughts, no to-dos, just peace.
- Five minutes in gratitude. Whomever and whatever comes to mind, let yourself go deep into appreciation and its impact on you and your life.
- Five minutes to focus on what will make today successful. Envision what a fulfilling, successful day would be for today and live into it. Think about it and get as detailed and visual as you can.
