I’m a traveler. It’s part of my career and has been for the past 12 years with the exception of 18 months during the pandemic.
Right now, travel is hard. If you have a connecting flight, good luck.
Though we’re told its mechanical difficulties, it’s not. We’re short of pilots and though travel must continue, filling flights with no one to drive is a problem. It’s like seating people at a restaurant without a chef.
It’s not any one airline, they’re all challenged as businesses right now.
My solution is to travel less. Direct flights only.
It will have an impact on our company and our clients, yet will lead to better results for all, including me. Where I once would’ve pushed through and made it work, I’m now saying no.
When it feels hard, things need to change.
