A head full of fears has no space for dreams.
When you feel overscheduled, and your demands exceed your resources how do you reclaim space without disappointing anyone, especially you?
When I was in my late 30’s, my world was collapsing along with the economy. I was in a state of fear daily as all the people and places I relied upon for security seemed to be changing or departing. I had to learn to be fully present and live in the moment. It was the only space available. And when I did, there was peace.
Despite the challenges, I found peace in the moment. My fear lived in the past with all the regrets and disappointments I had. My worry lived in the future as it felt uncertain and deceptive.
When I made space to be present, the word nowhere transformed to now here. The present offered peace and always does.
Can you be present in that space without doing anything?
When you create the space, you have the space to create.
Day 18: Consider setting aside time to think today. Whatever amount of time you choose, let it be empty space. Nothing to do, nowhere to go, a space for you. Spend a minimum of 10 minutes (or more) just being present. Once you’ve fully embraced the space, from a place of gratitude and appreciation, let yourself dream.
