Follow through is tiring for me.
What pushes me to finish is maintaining our reputation and keeping my word.
It’s easier for me to keep my own promises than to work with others to ensure we’re communicating well enough to deliver what we agree to collectively.
Working in teams requires us to coordinate actions, agreements and focus on clarity in our communication ensuring everyone’s understanding is aligned and crystal clear.
If left to my own, I’d prefer to start things and have others finish. On a small team, this most often isn’t realistic.
Process is the opportunity to document those consistent actions required to reduce stress by removing the thinking required to execute successfully.
What can you systemize to create greater opportunities for creativity and freedom?
