New Beginnings of Many Kinds #229
This is the day my Mom died. It was nine years ago, and I still think about her every day. She was just one day away from peacefully passing on 1-1-11. There’s an indelible mark on our lives that day, she left us well before though her body hung on.
For those beginning their year in any sort of grief, I offer this fabulous quote I’ve found comfort in:
“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in the hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”
Jamie Anderson
Remember, this time of year is a source of new beginnings of many kinds, not all are resolutions.
