“I have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist and that there are as few as there are any other great artists. Teaching might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit.” John Steinbeck
I’ve spent a great deal of my life teaching, training, coaching, and learning. As an art major, this quote brought new resonance to the connection between art and teaching.
I love the idea that great teachers are great artists. Mastering the connection to learning is one of the most important opportunities we have – especially as we grow older.
Remembering to prioritize learning new things keeps your spirit and mind growing and interrupts our tendency to stick with only those things that are familiar and known.
We’re either winning or learning, growing, or dying.
It’s time.
What have you always wanted to do and haven’t yet?
